In the last two weeks, my belOved had his birthday. The day of his birthday, we prepared for our first hosting party, and what a day to celebrate...the birth of my sweet husband. We cleaned up the apartment, took some clothes to Goodwill, went to the grocery to buy items for the lasagna, then we came home in perfect timing to make the lasagna and garlic bread. Family and friends began to show up around 7p.m. It was so fun having our living and dining room packed with people we love. It was so fun and encouraging to feel the love they have for him. Friends and family came throughout the night, and some stayed until midnight. It was so much fun, and I am so thankful for my sweet and amazing husband.

The next day, we had a date day. While Derick was sleeping, I had to run some errands :). Once I was finished with my errands, Derick and I began our adventure. I wanted to surprise him, but if you do not know he is the hardest person to surprise, and I am the world's worst liar...so I cannot get away with much. So, I made him put his hat over his eyes, and I drove for about an hour to prevent Derick from knowing where we were going...but he even knew what street we were on when I was driving! haha He even knew that I drove over cobblestone by his old work. But we went to Champs to rollerblade.

It was so cute seeing all of the little kiddies, then two adults (us). It was so much fun. Derick had never rollerbladed before, so it was really fun. I took a video of him (which I'll post). We did really well rollerblading...well we determine that by not falling, so we were proud. After rollerblading, we rushed off to the movie theaters to watch the Tourist. It was a really cute movie. Following the movie, we went to my parents to open one of Derick's gifts, and watch a movie with them and my brother. It was a really fun day!

On Sunday, we (along with the other members in the members' classes) were presented before our congregation and became a member at our church! We met some new people, and were encouraged by where the Lord has us. It is such a wonderful church, and I am so thankful it is our church family. It is definitely the church I have prayed for years to be apart of. I am so excited to see what the Lord will do through our church this year!

And some other random tid-bits from the week,
We took our car to the shop, and dad let us borrow their super-cool extremely huge truck! So we have been driving that all week. haha Even though I am really little, I feel like the biggest person driving the truck! It is awesome! haha I wonder if they'll let us keep it (joking!) But seriously..it's cool!

Then, Derick and I started our first class as a couple last night. I am so encouraged to see what the Lord will do in us and through us as we learn and grow in this area of our life. So many things to learn...and a lot of discipline to do it.

We'll write you later!
